You can now order a vegan sub-menu at Subway.
The sandwich shop is now offering a super-low-carb option to go with its popular sub-sub menu, which is made with just six ingredients and includes everything from spinach and kale to black beans, rice, and lentils.
And it even includes veggie burgers!
The menu will be available starting May 2, and it will be priced at $9.99 for a slice of bread.
You’ll have to order the sub, which includes three toppings, including a pickled carrot, lettuce, tomato, and a fried egg.
The menu is limited to 1,000 sandwiches, so be sure to pre-order to get the full flavor.
Subway’s menu is designed to appeal to vegetarians, and the company’s new sub menu is the first time the restaurant has included vegetables in its menu.
The sub menu will offer a wide array of foods from the comfort of the kitchen to the convenience of the fridge, including the usual meatless options like roast beef, chicken, or turkey, plus vegan options like tofu, kale, and tofu scramble.
Subway will also offer vegan salads and soups, as well as the usual veggie entrees like a vegetarian chicken sandwich, a veggie burger, and even a veggy cheese pizza.
The new menu is expected to be available in all Subway stores and in select Subway-branded restaurants.
